The girls had dentist appointments this morning. A had to get her teeth cleaned, and M had a cavity filled. When we first got there, Daddy wasn't there yet, so I went back and forth between the two rooms. I don't like the girls to have to go through any dental procedure unaccompanied, so I did a little dance back and forth. Finally I opted to stay with M since she was having the more uncomfortable procedure. She did great, though I knew she didn't enjoy it at all. They didn't give her nitrous oxide or novacaine and only drilled a little bit on the surface. The part she didn't like was the blast of cool air before the sealant went on. A's teeth are fine – no cavities. We took another x-ray of M's tooth and the fracture is a bit more pronounced. The dentist thinks her adult teeth are two years away, so we are going to hold on as long as we can with the fractured front tooth.
Tonight when I got home from work, M & I watched Wheel of Fortune, our favorite show, while A built a boat out of pillows, booster seats, blankets and the lif to a storage ottoman. She said she was taking the boat to Califonia and that it would be a long trip – twenty six five two million minutes. She put all kings of things in the boat: food from the basement, books (at my suggestion – how could someone take a trip that long without reading material?), toys for baby, pillows and Piggy, Bunny and Cousin Bunny. Tonight she is NOT sleeping with Piggy, Bunny and Cousin Bunny! I asked her many times if that was OK, and she said yes.
Here is a photo of her boat:
