Busy, fun day with the girls today. This morning we did some shopping. First stop: Target, which had some cute clothes for school but alas, no bikes small enough for the girls. Next stop: Sports Authority for shin guards and soccer balls. Then to the crafts store to buy some frames for Mommy to hold some pictures of Brown. (Random, I know.) The girls shared a bag of yummy popcorn from Target and were very patient with all the shopping.
Then we came home and met Imogene and the girls had lunch and nap. Then to the playground. After playground we had a yummy pasta dinner and took a shower all three of us. Then two books – Sunny Bunnies and a one we hadn’t read before from China called The Empty Pot. Both were very good.
Family updates: Grampy, Nana and Emily are home from Egypt. Daddy is in Denver seeing Barack Obama. Rachel and Sarah and Jonathan and Liz have, I believed, returned home from the beach.
And for those of you who read this blog and have given things to the girls that you might not have seen since, rest assured that they are being used. Grandma Dina: A is wearing tonight the pink two-piece pajama set you gave the girls one or two summers ago (the one with a matching nightgown). It fits perfectly and she loves it! Nana and Grampy: The girls are wearing the days-of-the-week rings and sticker earrings that you gave them as part of their dress-up themed birthday presents. They love them! Christina and Mikey: The girls recently discovered the pink and purple piggy banks you brought back from Hawaii and are asking every night for coins to put in them.
Finally, here is a picture that A drew on the side of the puppet theater. It is a drawing of the fastest racer at the Olympics running the marathon (the circles around him are the race course), and the circles at the top are supposed to be the Olympic rings.
What a great blog. It’s so nice that the girls are able to wear and/or use the gifts from relatives and friends. Love A’s picture. She’s quite an artist.
Love to all of you,
Aunt Ann
