It was gorgeous out tonight, so we walked up to BBM right before 8PM. We thought we were going to make it on time, but it turned out they closed at 7PM because of a water shutout issue up by Lafayette. It was so lovely out, but N cried the entire walk home due to crankiness from not napping. Fun. Here is a cute pic I took right before he started crying, plus a selfie A took.
And here is one M took:
The girls had a fun day – home solo in then, then playing with N in the afternoon, and then Annelise came over for a playdate with M. Tomorrow the girls will go swimming with Ellie. They are getting in visits with their DC friends before they head off to camp.
Camp – ack! So sad they are going to be gone for 2 weeks. But they are going to have a great time and I am excited for them.
M told me some funny stories tonight about N.
1) He was being very cute en route home from camp, giving leaves to Sarah's little brother (7 months old) and to Sarah, and then he wanted to bring sticks into the house. Then he said, "I will give the sticks to Nana because she is very careful."
2) He was guessing which was Annelise's favorite animal. M said, "It's a very slow animal." First he guessed a snail, and his second guess was a sloth! (Which was right.)
3) I called him after camp and asked how camp was. Then I asked if he brought anything back from camp, and he said that yes, he brought back A's jester hat, which I had told him this morning he could not lose if he brought it for Crazy Hat Day. I said, "Did you thank A for letting you take it to camp?" He went up to A and said, "You're welcome!" I tried to explain that first you have to thank someone and then THEY say you're welcome. Not sure he gets it. He said, "Yes, Mama, Alexa said thank you!!"
I think there is one more funny thing but I am too tired to get up and get my notes. Will post it tomorrow!
