Today Daddy took M & A to the Air & Space Museum with Frank and Addie. By all accounts, they had a great time. They saw "To Fly" and also checked out the planes and rockets, and ate astronaut ice cream. When I got home, they practically fell out of their chairs running over to me to show me some drawing books they got at the museum too. Sounds like they had a lot of fun!
While they were gone, I went grocery shopping. I loathe grocery shopping, but I loathe it even more on the weekends. The line at Trader Joe's downtown was so long that it snaked to the back of the store, across the back, and then up the first aisle back to the entrance. There were items I wanted to buy but couldn't because I couldn't physically access them.
Tonight we had Chinese food with Andrew, Katie and Asher. Asher is a typical two-year old boy, which is to say exhuberant and not always obedient. He does love older girls, though, including M &A.
Last night I missed bedtime because I went out to Let's Dish with Andrea and Laurie. We had a lot of fun assembling meals that are now sitting in our freezers, waiting to be defrosted and cooked on a busy weeknight when we don't want to cook (which is pretty much every night here).
Here's a photo from last night. I think we look like extras from "Fiddler on the Roof."
M and A are so lucky to live in D.C. because there is always something exciting and interesting to see or do in that city. Mommy had a great idea to “cook” ahead so meals would be ready to warm and serve. Wish we had a “Let’s Dish” up here.
Love,
Aunt Ann
