Daddy did solo duty today so that I could go to NY for Darrah’s wedding shower. I got to see Darrah, Deb, Jason, Dina and Tuvana, and Daddy took M&A to drama class, the school Fall Festival, and Addy’s house. I am now on the train back to DC and looking very much forward to spending tomorrow at home with everyone. The shower was fun – Aunt Darrah looks radiant and everyone is very excited about the upcoming wedding.
Upcoming dilemmas/decisions:
A is dying to see Little Einsteins LIVE! On Stage!, and they are coming to Baltimore right after Thanksgiving. I had the Ticketmaster site open today and almost pulled the trigger on four Tier tickets, but the $7 PER TICKET "convenience" charge kept me from sealing the deal. I know I will eventually buy the tickets… it’s just the principle of it. For that amount, I could just buy another ticket! Sigh. Ticketmaster will ultimately win…
For reasons that still remain unknown to me, I have been asked to sit on the bimah during the family Rosh Hashanah service on Tuesday morning. That means that I cannot: 1) wear pants; 2) bring a crossword puzzle; or 3) leave early. Not that I necessarily would have done those things were I not on the bimah; they are simply non-starters in this case.
Girls’ beds are being delivered two weeks from today, which will require serious cleaning and reorganization. To that end, I delivered to Tuvana a Britax Roundabout seat today, and will send Aunt Deb a pair of white Mary Janes, size 7, for Olivia to wear in the wedding. Somehow I don’t think that will create enough space for the new beds.
Next stop, Philadelphia!
The new beds will create lots of excitement. Perhaps the girls would like separate rooms now — perhaps not. I wish all of you a very happy New Year.
Love,
Aunt Ann
Perhaps the synagogue sees donor potential in you.
