It wasn't the MOST festive AFD in history here at the house, but we did enough to make it feel a little special. I moved a bunch of stuff around in N's bathroom this AM, and then this afternoon I tampered with his room, spelling out "GO METS" with letters and magnatiles and generally creating a little havoc in the room. The cute thing is that N appreciated all of it. (Expectations are low in a pandemic, it appears.) He also played some pranks on A (drawing spiders on the toilet paper, spelling out "Go Astros" in my den using all my pens), things like that. He also swapped the plate drawer with the placemats, which made me very confused. To make the day special I ordered us takeout pizzas from Little Beast for lunch.
Dad is in Abu Dhabi and M is at Phoebe's so it's pretty quiet in the house. A is singing her chorus assignment and N has gone to bed. Maggie is still here and getting a bit more energetic each day. We have a lead on a home that is interested in adopting her, so that may work out. We will see. We miss Maddie and Dad quite a bit.
It's the 4 year anniversary of the girls' bat mitzvah! What a great night that was.
