Today was a beautiful Sunday here in DC. Not humid, sunny and hot. We went to dance class in the morning, and then met our friends Karen, Dave and Violet for brunch afterwards. We sat outside and had lots of food, thanks to waiter error. Here is a picture of M and Violet playing on a sculpture afterwards. (The photo with Karen and Dave never got saved, unfortunately.)
Buppie came to dance class, which was a nice treat.
After nap, the girls helped me clean up their room. We separated dress-up clothes, dolls and puppets into their appropriate containers. Then Daddy played the States Game with the girls, Buppie came over, and I made dinner on the grill again.
Right now, A is really cracking us up. We have this play cell phone that rings every time we hang it up. First A started pretending to have a long conversation on the phone with her friend "Annabella". Of course, every time she hangs up, it rings again, and she answers it again. She started pretending to get more and more annoyed every time Annabella called, saying things like, "Yes… Yes… OK! I will talk to you later!" in an annoyed tone of voice. Then I started telling A to let it go to voicemail when it rings, because we are watching Olympics and it’s rude for Annabella to keep calling. So she yelled at Annabella to stop calling: "I said stop with all that talking!" Finally Daddy said, "Give me the phone, I will take care of it." To that, A said, "Daddy, she’s not real."
It’s cracking us up.
We also gave Allie a bath today so we have a nice clean dog.
I got such a “kick” out of today’s blog. A is “something else” and so is M. Such adorable and clever girls. Thanks for sharing the photo. It’s so cute.
Love,
Aunt Ann
