Daddy and I are back from a very, very lovely 48 hours in Sea Island, GA. Daddy spoke at a conference on Saturday afternoon, and after that he was basically free of commitments. We had dinner with Jamie on Saturday night, then spent a wonderful day yesterday biking around the island, sea kayaking, catching up on bat mitzvah planning, and eating lovely meals. This morning we both exercised and had breakfast on the balcony. The weather was warm and sunny and we had a good time.
We missed the kids a lot but knew that they were in great hands with Imogene. M&A went to a bat mitzvah on Saturday; M had soccer on Sunday; and the girls had Hebrew tutoring and a volunteer project at Lafayette today. N did a lot of things this weekend: puppet shows, artwork, painting a piggy bank, a few playdates (Alice and Sarah), and spending lots of time with M&A.
A and N made these adorable signs for us:
N's pic is of me and Daddy on the airplane, with our luggage off to the side, and the steps up and down from the plane. Below us is Nana, A, M and N.
He also took this amazing pic of M&A and their friend Amanda from camp, who stopped by on Saturday:
This is a short week for the girls. School Tuesday and Wednesday and that is it for the week. I am sadly headed out of town again tomorrow for a few days – NYC for a conference. But then I am back for the long weekend.
Good to be home, but also fun to be away for a little while somewhere so relaxing and beautiful.
