We are home from Shohola. The girls are at a slumber party at Abigail's, N is asleep, and Daddy is en route to India/Pakistan for several days. So it's very quiet here, other than Lucky's snoring.
A few updates:
1. N had a speech therapy appointment on Friday. The therapist has recommended an ENT visit to see if there might be some hearing or ear fluid issues. He sounds very congested and it could be a physical issue that is affecting his speech. We're going to regroup after his ENT visit in a few weeks.
2. A went to the orthodontist on Thursday and got her expander out. That's a huge relief as it was a lot of metalwork in her mouth. We go back on Tuesday and she gets a holding wire which will be a lot less onerous than her expander.
3. We have settled on M&A's birthday party: May 16th, and we're going to go see Pitch Perfect II and get pizza. Then a core group will sleep over. I sent out save the dates tonight.
4. I went to pick up Lucky from the dogsitter tonight. She had a substitute staying at her house and she had written some notes about Lucky and taped them to his dog food. They were pretty cute:
Lucky Male Beagle Gayle
Leash goes on harness. 1/2 cup dry food twice a day no meds. (I give him a teaspoon of another dog's wet and mix it up so he is not jealous). He has his tags and he does have a microchip. Can howl, is reactive to door; very sweet and loves people and other dogs. Sleeps on couch loves to be scratched around ears and loves belly rubs and will totally zone out, great sleeping companion. Sometimes poops in house or on front porch but usually ok overnight and if he goes out every four hours or so.
