The first meeting of the Mother-Daughter book club was a success! We read All of a Kind Family, and everyone seemed to like it a lot. The gathering was also fun. The girls listened well, for the most part, and answered a bunch of questions and did a little quiz at the end. We also did a get-to-know-you event at the beginning where each mom had to interview a daughter (not her own) and then introduce her to the group. I interviewed Natalie. It was fun!
The cupcakes were a success too. I made way too many (shocker!). I have lots of photos of the cupcakes but I will upload them tomorrow.
Daddy returns tonight from Seattle. He had a great time at Aunt Deb's birthday party. Happy Birthday Deb! Sorry we weren't there to celebrate with all of you.
Halloween costumes are a lock. M's already arrived but I can't find a photo of it. Will take one tomorrow. It's the cutest – a "flower power" hippie dress, plus a wide white belt and a headband. I love it!
A is going as Dorothy. I got her a costume on eBay but it hasn't come yet:
Your book club sounds wonderful, and apparently M and A enjoyed it.
Your cupcakes must have been a great treat for everyone. Halloween will be here soon, and the girls’costumes will make it fun for them.
Love,
Aunt Ann
