Borrow A Book, Return A Book

We had a lovely dinner tonight at True Food with Grandma Dina and Grandpa Ron, and then came home to celebrate their January birthdays with cards and presents here at home. It was nice to see them as they make their way back up the east coast to NJ!

School apps are almost done. It will be such a relief to have them finished.

N has read all of the books in the Walter and Iris series except for one, Walter and Iris and Baby Rose. I put it on hold at the library, and we picked it up this afternoon. Then I took him to Bread and Chocolate to get a treat (he picked a sugar cookie, and I think he did that because he knew I could eat it), and while we were there, we read the book. Then, en route to the car, we returned it! So efficient.

We also had a great game of Scrambled States. I've never met someone so obsessed with the states, and I love it.

M enjoyed lots of soccer games on TV today, but she skipped her scrimmage because her arm is sore from goalie practice.

A is rehearsing for her upcoming audition for the school musical. She is NOT happy that it is High School Musical.

MLK day tomorrow – girls have a Camp Louise reunion, N has MLK day volunteer event at Lafayette, and I leave for Boston in the later afternoon for 2 nights.
