We had a busy weekend of outdoor activities, all of which went well!
N had soccer yesterday and his team played well. He is getting better and more strategic. Not aggressive, but he's in the mix and had some good kicks. It was VERY VERY hot and in the sun and on turf, so poor N was quite hot.
A had a tennis lesson yesterday and a group session today. The report from Michael is that she is doing great. Also another hot lesson in the sun.
M had soccer today and her team won! 3-0. M didn't see as much action this game, which is fine with us and great for the team. She had a few good saves, one great save, and some time on her hands. Also quite hot. (Notice a pattern?)
N had a great second day of Sunday School (he confessed to me that he "loves it") and also attended a birthday party yesterday at Glen Echo. He got to see some water animals – fish, turtles, seahorses, crabs – and thankfully was able to grab a cupcake on the way out because we had to leave an hour early to get to his soccer game.
He also went biking with Daddy on Saturday afternoon. Again, hot.
On the downside, M has strep throat. She was diagnosed on Friday. She felt pretty crappy all weekend and going to her game was the first time she really left the house all weekend.
And another downside, N seems to be having an allergic reaction to the amoxicillin he's on. He developed a rash this morning and it spread to his arms, legs and neck today. At the ped's direction, we've stopped the abx and are hoping the rash clears up by tomorrow. It's not really bothering him but it looks alarming.
Final good news: A got a callback for As You Like It and has callbacks tomorrow afternoon after school. Fingers crossed!
