We had a real treat today – 12 letter from A!! 12!! She had written one every day and they came in 3 envelopes. They were very entertaining and we learned so much about what she's been doing at camp – Color Wars (they won, which we knew); lots of games involving musicals; her dance musical; lots about her friends. Thank you A for all the great letters! And thank you M for all the great letters too! We got one from M today too.
AND BREAKING NEWS – as I typed this, I got this email from the head of camp! Wow!
Good evening! I hope you are having a great week back home. I wanted to let you know something great about Alexa. Each week we focus on a middah of the week. A middah is a virtue or value that we strive for during the week while at camp. Our middah focus for this past week was friendship/chaverut. A little birdie told me that Alexa is the best sister and she is always able to stay enthusiastic and positive. She is creative and always willing to offer advice and help to her bunkmates.
We can't wait to see the girls in a few short days.
Today I worked on the basement a lot -built this piece of furniture. It is coming along. Not quickly. #somuchstuffdownthere
Today was also N's last day of camp! It's funny, he doesn't talk much about camp, but then when I showed him pics from the Headfirst blog, he got very animated and started pointing out people he knew. Emmy and Henry (which N pronounces "Hendry") were both there this session, which he enjoyed. N was helpful to me in the basement today – he and Nana helped me with putting the hinges on the doors and it was much appreciated. We are glad that N seemed to have a good time. The theme this week was "Frozen", which N was not particularly interested in. He doesn't like "Let It Go" but he keeps asking for more songs from the movie. I need A to come home so she can sing those songs to him.
