We had a fun, very CC day here today. After a late start, we went to Craigville Beach and spent almost 2 hours there. A spent the whole time in the ocean, and the rest of us went in and out. N played in the sand and M and I both finished books. 

Then we came home and sadly Daddy had to go to the bus station to take a bus to Logan to take a flight home tonight. Incredibly, there was a fire in Leesburg that shut down all DC airport traffic tonight and he is now on the TRAIN to DC, which really sucks.

After the bus station I got the kids and we went to a CCBL game in Cotuit. En route, we passed a store that I immediately recognized as the penny candy store from my Cape Cod memories! I immediately pulled over and we went in and got lots of treats. The kids loved it!

Then we went to the game. M and I would have stayed longer but N and A were hungry and restless, so we left with Cotuit losing 7-5 to Hyannis, and we drove to Hyannis and had dinner on Main Street. Then we got delicious ice cream – amazing flavors – and headed home to watch some of the Home Run Derby. A fun day! We miss Daddy, though.
