Catch-up Post

Sorry that I have missed a few nights of posts. Too sleepy to post before midnight both nights. But all is well. News in our house:

M’s ballerina costume from eBay arrived last night. She was very excited. Some new clothes from Old Navy came as well, so at one point she had on: long sleeve pajamas, a new dress from Old Navy, a white tutu dress, socks, and new pink sneakers all on at the same time. She looked very cute. A got kind of mopey when M’s tutu dress arrived because she wanted to wear it too, despite the fact that when her Dorothy the Dinosaur costume came a few days ago, she wore it for two hours and wouldn’t let M try it on. Then A decided that she doesn’t want to be Dorothy anymore, she wants to be a ballerina too. I told her that I had just bought the Dorothy costume because she swore that’s what she wanted to be. She said, "Mommy, I promise, next year I will be Dorothy!"

Today the girls had a playdate after school with their classmate Josh, who came home with them from school for a few hours. I love Josh – he’s so cute and very sweet. I am already planning the wedding – doesn’t matter which girl.

The new room is coming together. We put up a shelf that is now housing the myriad stuffed animals that were banished when the furniture came. There are as many animals on the girls’ beds as there are on the shelf. Last night A wanted an animal from the shelf on her bed; I told her she had to swap one from the bed to the shelf. She opted to take Eeyore (sp?) from the shelf and gave up one of the furry dogs.

The girls’ ballet teacher told Imogene on Tuesday that they are too advanced for the class. They should be in a different class, which meets on Wednesdays, right in the middle of soccer. Oy. Maybe when it gets too cold for soccer, we’ll move them to the other class.

M&A are now doing more advanced jigsaw puzzles – up to 100 pieces.

OK, that’s the news from here.

The girls will have a great time on Halloween no matter what costume they wear. I hope you will take photos of those two little beauties and share them with the rest of us.
Love,
Aunt Ann
