It has been quite a while since I posted. I am in LA and have been here for a week with A. Dad and M are in DC, though Dad is in Toronto today (home tonight) and M is heading to St. Louis the day I come home. And N is at camp. So we are all in far-flung locales!
Since I've been here in LA, A and I have been all around the city. Here are some of the places we've been:
- Academy Museum of Motion Pictures
- Dodgers Game
- USC
- Drive through Beverly Hills
- Brunch with Jeff Stotland in Sherman Oaks
- Larchmont Street/Hancock Park
- Hike to Griffith Observatory
- South Park
- West Hollywood dinner
- Jill's house in Beverlywood
- Melrose Avenue
- The Farmers Market/The Grove
We've covered a lot of ground! Tonight we are going to Culver City to check out Erewhon, the most expensive supermarket ever. We are curious.
We haven't heard much from N but we did have a call with his counselor, who said that things are going great and that he is having a lot of fun! He's been doing a lot of Orienteering and has been in the lake more this summer than last, it seems. He has also been making a fort with his friends in his bunk.
M got her dorm assignment today! She is in Rocky, which is a great location and college and she's very happy. Looks like she has a common room and then two small rooms with two girls in each room. Her waitressing is going well at Planta – she got a 90% tip the other day!
So that's the wrapup.
