Boy am I behind. So much has happened!
- We had conferences on Friday. We're so proud of all of the kids. N's teacher talked about how much he loves math, how he's doing well with his letters, how he gets along with everyone, and how he's still not resting at all during rest time. He needs to work on not being tempted by questionable behavior his friends are doing. M&A had glowing reviews from their teachers too. It's amazing as a parent to be thanked and congratulated by teachers on our parenting. The girls are diligent and a pleasure to have in class. M is still writing too much in her responses and both girls went way beyond on their Spanish menu assignment, but their teachers appreciated it and are using it as examples for the rest of the class! We left the conferences feeling so proud of the girls and impressed by what they've accomplished this year.
- The girls had a sleepover here on Friday with Abby and Charlotte, and we went out to dinner on Friday night at the Diner (M's choice). The 4 girls sat at one table and Daddy and N and I sat at another. It was sweet.
- M had her second day of travel soccer tryouts on Thursday night. We'll find out on Tuesday if she made it.
- A had her second tennis lesson today. She remains highly motivated and excited about it.
- M had an all-day Model UN meeting at Deal on Saturday. She was part of the planning and execution and she enjoyed it.
- N and I planted today. We went to Johnson's this morning, and today we pulled the pansies out and replaced them with impatiens. We also planted rosemary, marjoram, basil, lavender, watermelon, yellow squash and peas.
- Daddy is in NY tonight and returns tomorrow night. He left very early this AM.
- M had TWO HITS in her softball game today. She doesn't love the team, but she did great today. Two singles and a few stolen bases and a scored run.
- We had book club on Saturday. Both girls and I had read the book and we had a good discussion with a small but committed group.
- N is asking lots of questions about numbers – which is the first number to have 5 (6,7 etc.) digits? – and months and hours of the day.
OK, that's a ridiculously short summary of 3 pretty intense and eventful days!
