Catching Up!

I am very behind. I haven't posted in a few days, and meanwhile the girls have done a million cute things and I have a ton of photos to post. So here goes…

The performance on Saturday was SO cute. The girls looked so cute in their costumes, and they did a wonderful job. They knew their parts perfectly. They smiled. They beamed. It was the best. After the show, they seemed a little less enthused – A was not happy with her costume and they said that they were very bored during the ballet because they couldn't watch the parts they weren't in. I think she was dealing with the letdown of the first performance being over. But during the performance, they were just adorable. I can't wait for the next 6 shows! Daddy and I were smiling and laughing the whole time. So proud.

Here are a bunch of other cute things from the weekend:

1) I finally got the toddler car seats out of the car and moved the girls into booster seats. They took the carseats and faced them toward each other in the living room with a stool in the middle. Then they pretended that they were flying on an airplane. Today I served them breakfast in their airplane seats.

2) A has decided that M can now to go Tooth Fairy Camp with her. It's cute to hear them talking about it. (Though I think their friends are a little suspicious and may think that M&A are kind of strange.)

3) Yesterday I took the girls for mani-pedis as a treat. After we were done and their toes were drying, they sat in the back of the salon in their spa seats, far from me. When I walked back to check on them, they were playing Categories (category: fruit). They got the cutest manicures, with flowers all over their nails.

4) The girls took all of the stuff from the recycling bin and created all sorts of things with them yesterday.

5) Our babysitter Julia came over last night and taught the girls a Miley Cyrus dance, which they performed for us when we got home.

Thanksgiving was fun – I made lots of food and Grandma Sandy brought turkey, stuffing and gravy. Everything was very yummy! Grandma and Grandpa came in and stayed for M&A's performance on Saturday.

Today is my 41st birthday. Daddy left for Central Asia this afternoon, so we celebrated by going out to dinner last night. Grandma Sandy came over and brought me dinner and cake – yum! Grampy also stopped over tonight to wish me happy birthday. I feel very lucky and spoiled today!!

I have so many pictures to post – rehearsal, my birthday today, Thanksgiving, etc. I will post them over the next week. Tonight I will start with photos from the first Nutcracker performance on Saturday.

Just want to add our praise about the girls’ performance on Saturday. They were TERRIFIC!! Also, want to thank Gayle for continuing the Thanksgiving Pumpkin Torte a la Feldman tradition! Since I couldn’t do it single armedly (shoulder replacement surgery!) Gayle did it single handedly! Great job, Gayle! We look forward to seeing the girls perform again next weekend (same city, different theater).

First, Happy Birthday, Mommy. I hope this is the best year ever. Thank you for the wonderful photos. Wish I lived closer so I could see a performance. Tell M and A I’m so proud of them, and give them my best wishes and love.
Love,
Aunt Ann
