Tonight we drove Imogene to her church choir rehearsal after I got home from work. The girls wanted to go in, so we did, and hung out for a while during the rehearsal. A grabbed a hymnal and said, "I am reading a grown-up book!" M grabbed a Bible and said, "What’s this about?" Finally Imogene said, "When are you leaving?", which made me realize that we had overstayed our welcome.
The girls are not going to bed in a timely manner. I suspect it is time to give up the nap. I don’t know any other 4 year-olds that are still napping.
The girls are still doing drop-off! Very impressive. Though A told me tonight she didn’t want to go to school tomorrow because she doesn’t like the toys they have there. Nothing to build with, she said. Hmmm… we are four days into the academic year… that’s not a great sign.
M wants me to save lots of my shoes for her for when she is grown up.
Tonight we watched part of an Oprah special on the U.S. Olympic athletes. We watched the interviews with Nastia and Shawn and Michael Phelps. The girls were very excited to see them on TV.
Maybe sometime soon they will go to sleep…
