City Girls

We had a very busy Saturday – looks like we are back in the swing of routines and classes. The girls had ballet this morning, and then we ran a few errands – new shoes (only for A; nothing in M's size), supermarket to buy cupcake materials for tomorrow's book club meeting; and the library to pick up a hold for me and Diary of a Wimpy Kid books for M&A.

Then we came home and had lunch, and headed to an orientation at ballet. We watched another bun demonstration and heard about Nutcracker rehearsals.

Then we split up (gasp!). Daddy and M went to buy her a baseball glove for her new baseball team, and A and I went to the animal shelter to check things out. A fell in love with 2 dogs, but I didn't fall in love with them. Still looking.

We returned home and went to a book party for a friend of mine at the home of someone whose daughter is one of Sarah W.'s best friends – Julia. Sarah, if you're reading this, Julia says hi! And she is hopefully going to babysit for the girls sometime. She says your bat mitzvah was the best one she'd ever been to.

Then we went out to dinner at "the pizza place" and came home. Whew – what a day! Tomorrow is the first day of Sunday School and the kickoff of book club at our house in the afternoon. I am making mice cupcakes – the book is called Moxy Maxwell Does Not Love Stuart Little.

I am beat.

Here is a very cute piece of schoolwork that A brought home. I guess we city folk sleep late and eat breakfast in bed a lot.

Mommy and Daddy are such good parents. You make sure that M and A get a great, well-rounded education. I’m proud of all of you.
Love,
Aunt Ann
