Tonight was N's Clap-Out ceremony at B-CC. It was so great!
First, a bunch of kids welcomed the parents in 17 different languages. It was very moving. Then there were lots of speaking roles as kids recognized various groups of people. N had a speaking role – he talked about the 5th grade parents' class gift, which was lights and a sound system for the stage at CCES. Then each of the classes processed across the stage and got their certificates. As each kid got his or her certificate, the homeroom teacher read out one of the kids' favorite memories about CCES. Most of the memories were: Ms. Bailey (seriously, so many of her homeroom kids cited her as their favorite thing about CCES); Mr. Bowling; the Williamsburg trip; the 5th grade graduation party; foursquare; friendships; teachers in general; and lots of other things. It was really sweet. N's were coming in fourth place in the school spelling bee and Bailey's homeroom.
Other sweet things: N's 2nd grade teacher from Rosemary Hills came to the ceremony! Ms. Fye. It was just great to see her. Our cheering section was me, Dad, Maddie, Imogene and Grampy.
Congratulations N and the class of 2023 from CCES!!!
