A conversation I just had with M:

M: "Mommy, I love you."

Me: "M, I love you more."

M: "I don't think that's possible, but OK, I believe you."

So cute. Even cuter, we just had the same conversation again (10 minutes later)! This time she responded, "I don't know about that."

Another cute thing: here is an email that Emily sent the girls on their birthday:

Happy Happy Birthday to my most favorite 8 year olds in the whole
world. I hope you have a very special and fun day today and that you
love being 8. You are the most thoughtful, sweet, creative, funny,
smart, and talented girls, and I love and miss you both very much!
Can't wait to see you when I get home this summer.
