Today was Day 1 of the DC Theater Cafe. This is a big deal for the 3rd grade at Lafayette. Here's what it entails: Each 3rd grade class does a performance about some part of American history. (This year it was The War of 1812.) Before the class performs onstage, members of the performing class, as well as other classes from the 3rd grade, wait on the audience and serve them food. After the performance, the performers and other servers clean up the food and dishes, and cash out the guests. It is quite a production! There are a lot of moving parts and a lot for the kids to do.

Today, A performed in the afternoon, and she attended the performance in the morning. M attened the performance in the afternoon and served in the morning. Tomorrow M will perform in the morning.  I think both girls are serving again tomorrow.
