M likes to type notes from my Blackberry to various members of her family, as many of you know from being recipients of "From Maddie"-titled emails from my email address.

Her emails usually consist of the following:

Maddie

Alexa

Daddy

Mommy

Allie

Sometimes, though, she asks me to spell out something more complicated for her, like "Happy Valentine's Day", and then she signs it "Love madeleine."

She wrote just such a note to Grandma Dina and Grandpa Ron last week, and here was their response to her:

Hi Maddie,
     Thank you very much for sending the Happy Valentine's Day message to us.  We were thrilled to receive it!  We hope that you had a great Valentine's Day and that you and Alexa and Mommy and Daddy are having loads of fun today.
     The beautiful valentines that you and Alexa made are on display in our living room.  We think of both of you every time that we look at them.
     We look forward to talking to all of you before long.

I also had an email back from Aunt Ann a few weeks ago in response to an email M wrote her, but I seem to have deleted it. Sorry about that!

Buppie often writes back with a "Hi Maddie" in a fun color and large font.

Grampy doesn't usually write back, but if he does, I promise I will put it on the blog!
