I haven't posted since last Thursday! It is so hard to catch back up when I've missed a few days, but I will try.
We're back! We had a great time in Florida. It was relaxing and warm and felt like a real escape. It's always nice to be out of the daily routine and get to just enjoy the hours of the day.
What we did in Florida:
- Lots of swimming
- A few nice sunsets on the beach
- Hermit crab racing!
- New Year's Eve by the marina
- A jigsaw puzzle! (500 pp)
- Lots of reading
- A game of Sherlock
- Introduced N to Mary Poppins
We returned home Friday night, and A immediately got sick, which is a bummer. She missed a lot this weekend – seeing Oliver at Arena Stage, the evaluation with Ms. Lilla this morning, and Katie's birthday party. M went to the party, which was at Skyzone. M was disappointed that it wasn't decorated with white fluffy stuff everywhere, but she had fun (though she missed A). N had soccer today and went to his friend Andrew's birthday party this afternoon and did a LOT of running and jumping around.
We are back in the swing of things tomorrow – school, ballet (though M went on Saturday), work. Welcome 2016!!
Some pics from the trip:
And a cute funny N-isms:
- He was sitting at the table with the rest of us, having breakfast, and then suddenly said, "Well, I don't think I am needed here" and got off his chair and walked away.
- He asked Daddy if he could have a cookie, and Daddy told him to ask me. Then he said, "If I ask her, she'll tell me to ask you."
- We bought candy at a great store in our resort. N was concerned whether all the candy would fall out of his bag when we went through security. I totally understand that anxiety!
These three kids are the best, sweetest, funniest, most caring and most loving kids. I love them so much!
Gayle: they are that way because of you and Dan!!
