Endless Saturday

This was the never-ending day.

This morning, N and I went to the shoe store and got him new Keans and new sneakers. Here's what he picked:

Then we went to the library and picked out 9 new books and 2 DVDs. He loves it there, but mostly because of the toys they have there.

Then we went to Trader Joe's, where he put about 20 stickers on his shirt.

Meanwhile, M went to ballet – her last Saturday class ever! – and Daddy and A ran a few errands.

N and I came home from TJs, and then A and I went to her soccer game. Her foot is still sore from a PE injury this week, so she sat out and cheered the team on. M got out of ballet a little early so she came to the game too. It was cold and rainy but we cheered on the Deal team vs. Janney.

After soccer, we came home, cleaned up, and went to the Campers' rained-out garden party. Daddy and N went to get N a haircut, and then they met us at the party.

After the party we went out to dinner – tapas at Barcelona.

Then Daddy did a bunch of media tonight about current developments in The Region, and we finally got N ready for bed. Then M&A and I went out to Bethesda to hear a DJ who we might hire for their bat mitzvah. We got home around 10:15.

Such a long day -we're all wiped out. I have a 10-mile race tomorrow at 8 so it's going to be an early morning.

In exciting news, N wore underpants for his nap today and he didn't have an accident! We also are trying to get him down for shorter naps so that he doesn't have as much trouble going to sleep at a reasonable hour.

And M made the most amazing white chocolate chip cookie pie. "Think about your favorite food, what's the shape of COOKIE PIE?"

Must. Go. To. Bed.
