Today is Tuesday, the day before N’s 4th birthday. It’s also his second day of summer vacation. He has been at the playground the last two days with Nana and has had a great time. He has gone to Livingston Park and played in the sprinkler. Tomorrow he is having a playdate at the playground with his friend Henry.

M&A had Ellie and Annelise over after school and they made “grilled cheese sandwiches” using pound cake (that M made on Monday night) and fondant that looked like cheddar cheese. Here they are:

And the girls made N’s birthday cake! They decorated it tonight. Here it is, with Hillary in the background making her speech on this historic night.

Here’s something I love about M&A. Even when they get off the bus with their friends, they still run up the hill to come and hug me when I walk down to the bus to meet them. It is the best thing about working from home on the days that I do.

Little N. The cutest. He has discovered Snapchat and wants to “play Snapchat” all day long. He likes to make his face distorted and turn himself into dogs and cats and cowboys and crying clowns.
