Tomorrow we are going to Mexico! We can't wait. We're mostly packed, and Lucky has gone off to Laurie's, and the girls are finishing the Teen Choice Awards, which they are enjoying a lot.

This was our last day of summer vacation in DC. Here's how we spent it:

• M wrote her summer reading assignment, which was a diary entry based on the book Red Snow.
• A finished the summer reading book, Red Snow.
• We treated A's hair for lice.
• We went to the pediatrician, who said that A's rash on her back and shoulders is NOT from lice, but is probably from swimming in the lake and having damp hair. She got some hydrocortisone cream and will hopefully be better soon.
• M went to Grandma Sandy's for a photography lesson – see pics below.
• A went to my haircut with me so that we could go straight to the doctor after.
• The girls had piano lessons.
• The little boy walked all over the house, played, cried, smiled, and had a good nap.

We can't wait to be in Mexico and will post photos and updates from there!
