So the verdict on the first day?

Not bad.

A had a great day. She likes all of her teachers and had an easy day with very short classes. She is very high on Sidwell tonight! She went to soccer and got very hot (she was wearing leggings!).

M had a good day. She likes almost all of her teachers and had a little work tonight but not too much. She is tired from volleyball.

N had an OK day, which, all things considered, is a victory. He was quiet and sad this morning and I know he was nervous. When he got on the bus, he was the only kid and that was scary. The bus driver is very nice but it's a long ride on the bus and a long ride home. Things we gleaned:

1) The scary substitute is strict but she is not mean to N, who does what she asks.

2) Hot lunch may not be THAT disgusting, though it was today. He'll consider it every now and then.

3) He had lunch with a boy who is friends with Nathan Galper in his class, but he doesn't know his name.

4) There are more boys than girls in his class, which will make it easier for him to make friends (so he says).

5) The person who monitors recess is very fat.

6) He only has 15 minutes for recess and 15 minutes for lunch.

7) He is on the same bus as Nathan Galper coming home and he sat with him.

8) The bus is long and boring.
