I fell asleep last night before I could post about the first night of Hanukah. We lit the lights, N knocked over a lit candle, and then cried because he wasn't allowed to open more than two presents. Ah, holidays with a two year-old.
But we had fun and it was a nice kickoff. Here was the haul:
M&A each got some EOS lip balm that they wanted and the 2015 Guiness Book of World Records book.
N got a new carpet to ride his Matchbox cars around on (one of those ones that has roads and parking lots) and a little excavator truck that he was not particularly interested in
Daddy got a Lafayette pullover sweatshirt
And I got a nightgown.
Great night!
Then tonight we had Night #2. N now knows the drill – he gets to open two presents after we light candles. Now he just has trouble waiting for Daddy to get home before we do it!
Presents opened tonight:
M & A: small duffel bags for ballet and sleepovers
N: a Playmobil barn/tractor/shape sorter and some little stamps/stamp pad
Daddy: 2 casual button-down shirts
Me: A subscription to BookPage
