FLOTUS and Misty

2 exciting things happened today.

First, the girls and I went to the Easter Egg Roll at the White House. Daddy is in India so I took them. They had the day off from school.

While we were there, FLOTUS came down from the balcony and walked down near where we were. We ended up leaving soon after, but she did a dance for her Let's Move initiative which would have been so cool to see!

It was crowded and the lines were very long but I am glad we got to go and get a closeup of gorgeous FLOTUS. Thank you Daddy for getting the tickets.

And then this happened – M got an email from WSB member Morgann Rose, who knows Misty Copeland and got her to answer questions from M for her report!

Here they are:

1. What is your favorite ballet you've ever performed in?
– La Bayadere

2. What would you be doing if you weren't a ballerina?
– Something artistic for sure. It's an outlet I connect with and I feel I need personally to communicate. With that said, maybe a chef!

3. What is the hardest part about being a ballerina?
– Having to be so consistent day in and day out. Being in an art form that is live performing, you have to be able to present a solid performance night after night as if you are doing just that one show and not the other 7 that week. Lol

4. Do you have any advice for a 10-year old ballerina?
– Work hard, do it because you can't live without it because that's what you need to persevere, surround yourself with support on those days when it's too hard to get through on your own.

So exciting!
