Flu Weekend

This hasn't been the best weekend.

A came home early from school on Friday with flu-like symptoms, and she's been home sick ever since. She has been running a fever, which got as high as 104.5 this morning, and she tested positive for the flu today. Poor girl. She took Tamiflu tonight so hopefully she will turn the corner soon.

M was OK yesterday but she woke up with a fever this morning. She tested negative for the flu this afternoon but is also on Tamiflu in the hope that if it turns into the flu, it will be less severe. Poor girl too.

Daddy, N and I are ok… for now.

So here's what we've missed this weekend:

  • A missed her first and second Sleepy Hollow rehearsals, and ballet class.
  • M missed the second Sleepy Hollow rehearsal today.
  • We were supposed to have dinner at the Aladjems' tonight, but we had to cancel.
  • The girls and I are supposed to go to Let's Dish tomorrow, but that's looking unlikely.

N made it to a birthday party this morning. It was his classmate Josh's 3rd birthday, and the party was at the Kensington Fire Station. It was very cute. N got to see a fireman getting his equipment on and the inside of a fire engine, and we heard some sirens (which he didn't love). He also played Pin the Tail on the Dalmation, tried to hit the pinata, and ate a cake pop AND a piece of cake. He came home with a fire hydrant cup, a balloon, some pinata innards, and a fire chief hat.

One fun thing did happen this weekend: we watched Notting Hill on Friday night. Girls enjoyed it.

Also, Daddy built this train with N yesterday:
