Busy day today…

No school today, so M&A had a playdate here with their friend Vivian. Then it was off to soccer, where M spent more time with me or Imogene on the picnic blanket than playing soccer. (This is not that unusual). Then I took the girls to the gym to use the pool for Family Swim. We had a great time! Afterwards, a nice relaxed shower in the locker room and then we headed home. Sadly, the whirlpool isn't in use right now, which disappoints us every time we're there.

Tomorrow I am going to Providence with Emily to show her Brown. Then we meet Daddy in Boston for his college reunion, and she will Tufts on Sunday. Imogene is staying here with the girls overnight. I am sad to leave. It's one thing to miss a school day, and another entirely to miss a weekend day.,

Yesterday, I observed a tiny gesture that meant a lot. While in the bath, Alexa had a large wad of suds on her cheek and forehead. It seemed precipitously close to  her eyes. So just as a matter of course, while discussing something else, Maddie reached across to brush the suds away. Simple as that! She IS her sister's keeper! It was lovely moment.
