Friday Night

I was home today and got to see a lot of the girls. They wore very cute outfits today – A wore a brown polka dot dress with pink tights, and M wore jeans again (!) and a pink top with pigtails.

This afternoon the girls played a lot at home in the basement with Imogene. A made a large truck/car out of Legos and put lots of animals on it – they were headed to the zoo. M did Lite Brite. (Typical – A doing the creative, open-ended activity and M doing the goal-oriented, follow-the-pattern activity). Then they both played with letter magnets on the easel.

We also made apple crisp this afternoon, which A ate for dessert. M ate these pumpkin whoopie sandwich cookies that I bought from TJs. She LOVES them and told Daddy when he got home from work that he would love them too.

It was nice to see the girls playing together so well this afternoon, though I can always tell when M is getting tired because she starts getting annoyed at A and telling her she is doing things wrong or being unfair to M. She likes to yell at A and say her name in a very irritated tone.

I told M today that she was very smart, and she said it’s because she has a large brain.

Daddy said tonight the girls asked lots of questions about God and that they had a long talk about the election.

Time for bed.
