We had a rockin' Friday night tonight working on the girls' February book reports, which are timelines built from biographies of famous African Americans. M is doing Alice Walker and A is doing Michelle Obama. We've made a strong start but have a long way to go. Both girls also practiced their piano pieces and were in bed by 10. We're just partying it up over here.

Busy weekend ahead – ballet class, two ballet rehearsals, and haircuts. A says that the Winter Dance is on Friday (first I have heard of that) and both girls want new dresses beforehand. Hmm – will have to try to fit that in too.

Little boy is cute as ever – not crawling yet but standing up and smiling and singing.
