Friday Report

I am back! I was in SF for a few days for a conference. It was great to be there – I love being in the city – but I missed the girls. I told Daddy that in San Francisco, the clothes in the windows look better, the food tastes better, even the sun shines brighter.

I worked from home today, which meant that I got to pick up the girls from school. After school we went to the library so that M could return a book that she forgot to bring yesterday. Each girl picked out a new book. It was fun being in the library after hours with the few kids who were hanging out reading. Afterwards, we noticed a photo of Alexa on the wall in the entry to the school. I tried to get her to pose next to it – it was taken today so she had the same outfit on – but she wouldn't. Instead, M did:

How cute is that?

GIRL SCOUT COOKIES HAVE ARRIVED! We've already delivered our first 3 batches – to Imogene, Grandma Sandy, and Sarah. I must apologize to whoever bought the box of Samoas that M opened and ate one of tonight. (Grampy, I have a feeling that will be your box.)

M does some extra work every week around one of the Ramona books. She has to define some hard words and answer a lot of questions. I just found the words she defined today and a few questions she answered:

sober: theres no bright colors

dawdle: to do something slowly or waste time

whisking: a medal tool for beeting eggs or cream

What happens when your parents have car trouble or get stuck in traffic: We all get mad and think were maybe going to be late and then we just sit there waiting for the traffic to move.

Thanks to Grandma Sandy for babysitting tonight! She and the girls watched the movie version of Eloise.
