We had a very busy fall day. After a short jaunt at the furniture store (bo-ring), we went out to Butler’s to go pumpkin picking. At the pumpkin festival we went down a long slide, went through some mazes, took a hayride to the pumpkin patch to pick a few pumpkins, played some games, and pet some goats. We spent about 3 hours there, which was fun but exhausting. Both girls fell asleep on the way home.
At the patch, M saw a green pumpkin. She decided to pick that one, even though orange is her favorite color. She said, "Then when people walk by our house, they will see it, and say, ‘I’ve never seen a green pumpkin before!’"
Tonight Buppie gave us her ballet tickets and stayed with the girls so that we could go out. Thanks, Buppie!
Last night was the first night in the big girl beds. A fell out in the middle of the night, but it was otherwise OK. Right now, Allie is asleep in A’s bed, at A’s request. How cute is that? We’ll see how long that lasts. A is very sweet with Allie and clearly loves dogs.
I have a lot of beautiful photos from the pumpkin picking adventure which I will try to upload tomorrow. Too tired tonight.
You really had a full day at the pumpkin place. Hope I will see
M’s green pumpkin in the photos you took. Tell the girls I wish them lots of good night’s sleep in their lovely new beds.
Love,
Aunt Ann
