Today is Halloween! We have ballet this morning, and then later this afternoon we will probably go to Chevy Chase Circle, where the stores give out candy to kids who parade up and down Connecticut Avenue. Then it's trick-or-treating tonight!! Can't wait. We've carved four pumpkins so far. A's is a pumpkin face, based on a light-up pumpkin we have at home. M's is a ballerina, based on a drawing we found online. Mine is two bats. A's second one has stripes. We haven't carved Daddy's pumpkin yet, and M's second one is too dense to be carved. I will take photos later today and tonight when they are lit.
The girls were home yesterday – no school. They had a playdate with their classmate Natalie, and then went to a birthday party at another classmate's house in the neighborhood. Then we carved pumpkins, which took hours!
Here are some more pics from Sarah's bat mitzvah, and some from the Halloween parade at school on Thursday.

Thank you for the wonderful photos. All of them are so cute. M and A look great in their costumes, and they look very happy — about everything. They were darling cheerleaders. Halloween seems to have been fun for all of you.
Love,
Aunt Ann
