M&A: You are 7 today! You had a very fun birthday (well, most of it). You woke up (see photos below), then came downstairs to check out your presents. The best presents were 2 shiny new bikes! You also got some new t-shirts, Moon in My Room, Gobblet, Scattergories for kids, and… the 2010 Piggy and Bunny and Baby and Blankie Blog Book! Not a bad haul.
You also scored some John Henry books and DVDs from Grandma Dina and Grandpa Ron, a set of fairy books and the Secretariat DVD from Deb/Jonathan/Olivia/Ben, a science kit and butterfly garden from Darrah/Jason/Sydney, and some Amazon gift cards from Jon/Liz/Sarah/Rachel. Later in the day Imogene came by with some beautiful dresses and Grandma Sandy gave you some very cute drawing books and 2 rainbow bracelets.
After you checked out your gifts, you went back upstairs for breakfast in bed! (Your first time.) See pics and video below.
We let you skip ballet and headed out to the Lafayette Fair. A lot of your friends were there, as was Ms. Baldwin (see below), and you did a lot of fun games. We loved watching you do flips on the cool bouncy/harness thing. And you also helped me sell pizza for an hour – you collected tickets and calculated how many tickets people owed.
After the fair we went to see a play about John Henry. It was a little odd, but you enjoyed it and kept a very open mind. You didn't keep as open a mind about the adult restaurant we took you too – you didn't like it at all and you made that very clear! But all was better when we got home and had cake (see below).
All in all, a great birthday! Daddy and I are so proud of the beautiful, smart, sweet, funny girls that you have become. How are you already 7?? Party tomorrow…
Wow! What a wonderful birthday! How will your mom and dad EVER top this? I’m so happy for both of you girls, and I wish you the best year ever.
Love,
Aunt Ann
