Today is Lucky's 5th birthday! He celebrated by getting three mediocre walks and lying around on the couch all day. Oh, and barking at N's piece of challah that was sitting on the arm of the couch for 20 minutes.
Here he is in all of his cuteness:
Most days when I pick the girls up from ballet, we drive down Albemarle Street to Connecticut. There is a barber who has an office at that intersection, and the girls are totally impressed by him. If he is cutting a kid's hair, they will say, "Oh my god, he can cut all ages!" and if he's trimming a beard, they will say, "He has mad skills! He can do hair all over the face!" and if it's a weekend, they will say "He works all the time – he's so amazing!". They are just very interested in and impressed with this barber. It is very cute. Now they want me to take N to the guy (but they don't want to go themselves).
N is so smart. He can find the page he's looking for in a book, and he remembers things that he read hours or days ago and brings them up later in conversation. He know so many words. Today I was quizzing him on fruits and vegetables and he got almost all of them right. He's an amazing little boy! I just wish he hadn't eaten sand at the playground today or clogged up the downstairs toilet by throwing in a ton of toilet paper.
