We had a very fun weekend in NY. Two exciting things happened at the same time – the American Crossword Puzzle Tournament and Sydney's first birthday.

Grampy and I didn't compete this year. It was our first year and we just wanted to check it out. We were able to try the puzzles that the contestants were doing, so it was still very fun. And we realized that we were finishing faster than some of the registered contestants. So next year, we will be registered contestants. We had a lot of fun and are looking forward to next year!

The girls got to spend lots of time with Grandma Dina, Grandpa Ron, Aunt Darrah, Uncle Jason, and Sydney. On Saturday, they did a culinary tour of Brooklyn – lunch, chocolate factory, candy store, and diner dinner. Lots of eating, lots of sweets. Today was Sydney's birthday party, and she had chocolate cake and lots of presents.
