I had just about the best birthday I could have asked for. It was an uneventful day, other than N getting a splinter (?) in his foot this morning before school. I got to see the girls this morning, I got to take N to school, I had a productive day at work, I got a mani/pedi en route home from the office, and then I got to see the kids tonight. Grandma Sandy came over to wish me happy birthday in person and brought me a beautiful necklace from Paris. M&A went to Noar for an hour until I came to rescue them 30 minutes early. We came home and had Asian food from Spices which Daddy picked up en route home from work.

The girls made me such thoughtful things. M made me a TON of white chocolate desserts – cookie pie, white chocolate Butterfingers, and white chocolate peanut butter cups. Delicious! She even made vanilla ice cream with candy corns. I am spoiled by all the desserts!

A made me 47 coupons that were incredibly thoughtful, for things like giving N a bath, bringing me something that I want when I am on the couch. giving me hugs, not fighting with M, allowing me to watch what I want in TV. SO SWEET!

And N made me a lovely card.

Daddy made a very special day with a sweet card and some very thoughtful gifts.

Grampy came over with some new running shirts for me tonight and he showed N the trick where he hides half of his thumb.

Thank you also to family and friends far and near who spoiled me with cards and Facebook messages and texts and emails and calls. I feel very loved and remembered today and that is the best feeling on a birthday.

Tomorrow I am going to San Diego for one night. I'll be back on Thursday evening. Two meetings and I get to stay at the hotel where they film Pitch. I can't wait to do the homemade crossword puzzle that Tuvana made me. 🙂
