Today was Father's Day. We had a nice day, starting off with a brunch prepared mostly by M and N with Dad's favorite foods (bagels, lox, smoked salmon salad, peaches, blueberries and eggs/cheese). N also made smoothies! Oh, and Dad had an early tennis game. Then we went to a very hot Nats game. Shocker! We lost.
Tonight N wanted Chipotle for his last night at home before camp. Grampy came over so we could celebrate him too. We sat outside on a lovely summery night by the pool. M was at work and A is in CA – she spent the weekend in Palm Springs with Jill and family.
Other things N did today:
- Pre-camp shower
- Beat dad at ping pong, which best of 5 of a best of 5. N was very happy to win. They had both won two rounds and they had both won two matches so this was the final match, and N won 16-14.
- Hoverboard walk with H and Dad.
- Finished bday thank you notes and a Father's Day card.
- Paused some of his Chess.com games and/or made them a draw.
- Watered some small seedlings he got from Ms. Bailey's room.
- Picked out fidgets and books for camp.
He is ready and excited and nervous and sad. The whole swirl.
Here are some pics from today. Dan has a few on his phone from the game which I will post tomorrow. N and I are in bed. VERY EARLY wakeup tomorrow for the flight to camp.
