We had a great weekend to kick off the holidays this year. Friday night we had dinner at Abigail's house – her parents cooked for us and it was mellow and relaxing. Saturday, we ran some errands and had the cookie swap! 12 people brought cookies, and we put them all out on the table and swapped, so that everyone went home with a nice assortment. There were tons of kids here running around -chaos. Then Imogene came over to babysit and Daddy and I went out to belated birthday dinner for me with some good friends.
Today we went to a Hanukah craft party at the home of a friend of the girls', and then tonight Buppie had us over (along with Abigail and her parents) for dinner to celebrate the first night of Hanukah. We had a very yummy dinner and the girls had a blast seeing each other. Thank you Buppie!
So far, the girls have gotten a great haul: nutrackers (their favorite gift so far!), a calendar, some ballerina tattoos and a Jewish holiday book from Buppie; some Hanukah and poem books from Grandma Dina and Grandpa Ron; a little cooking set from Abigail; and huge coloring books from us. They have many more presents to open.
I am beyond exhausted so no funny stories or analysis tonight! But here is a photo that Buppie just emailed me:
M and A are so precious. The photo is adorable. I forwarded it to Jan and family to enjoy also. I’m happy that your Hanukkah is such a happy one.
Lots of love,
Aunt Ann
