Happy New Year!

Today was a gorgeous September day. I took N to the family service at TS. He was very good, though he was afraid that the shofar was going to be loud and had his hands over his ears for a while. Luckily, it wasn't loud. He enjoyed sitting with Aidan and Caleb, who are very sweet with him. He also brought Cowie with us.

Then Daddy took the girls to the BCC service, which they said was pretty good.

The girls didn't go to school, but had piano lessons in the afternoon. Then we all went to Tashlish (sp?), where you throw the bread into the water to cast off our sins. N liked throwing the wheat bread into the water, but he wanted to eat the raisin bread:

A cute N-ism tonight: We said "N, we need to go home, and then do you know what is going to happen?" And he said, "Someone is going to have a bath, and then someone is going to put on his pajamas."

Also his new Big Bird costume came in the mail. I think he may want to wear his monkey costume from last year again. Sigh.

M and I cannot give up watching the Nats. We try but then we put the game on. Old habits.

Poor A is still not feeling great. Hoping her cold will be gone by tomorrow!!

Thank you Grandma Sandy for a lovely Rosh Hashanah dinner! Brisket, kugel, spinach, honey cake and plum crisp. Oh, and Caesar salad. Delicious!

Happy new year to all.
