Our endless Christmas break continues (not that I am complaining…).

Yesterday N and I headed downtown and went to the US Botanical Gardens to check out the outdoor train exhibit and then to the White House to see the national Christmas Tree and all of the smaller state trees. It was getting dark when we returned and it felt very wintery despite the warm weather.

Last night M & A went to small gatherings with friends and we stayed home with N. Sarah and Hannah came over for a little while while Dad and N watched a movie. And we all had Chinese food together beforehand (w/Dylan). Overall a quiet NYE here; the girls had fun with friends.

Sadly tomorrow is the last day of vacation for me and Dad and N. The girls have Monday off. It has been a productive and relaxing, if unexciting, break. Lots of good family time! And N's contests have been a high point because they really crack us up at dinner.

2021 is done. 2022 is here. Hoping for a HEALTHY and happy year.
