Happy Thanksgiving to all of the readers of the Piggy & Bunny Blog! If you read this blog with any regularity, you are someone who is important in our lives, and we are thankful for you. I hope that you had a wonderful holiday and wish you a healthy and peaceful year.
We had a quiet but nice Thanksgiving. It was an unseasonably warm day, and we spent much of it outside – raking, biking, and a nice long walk for Mommy while the girls were napping. Then a lovely dinner at Buppie’s with Aunt Tequila and some friends of Buppie’s. Thanks for a great dinner, Buppie!
In the book I am now reading (On Chesil Beach by Ian McEwan), one of the main characters has returned from college to her parents’ house. She talks about her mother as a cold woman, one who never kissed her or told her she loved her during her childhood. I find that absolutely mind-boggling. I don’t think I could kiss those girls, or tell them I love them, enough. If I were to stop doing either of those, there would be huge voids and silences in my day. Aren’t they the most irrestible creatures in the world? I will always be thankful for them.
You are a loving and giving mother. M and A are so fortunate to have such wonderful parents. They will repay you millions of times in millions of ways for your love and caring.
Love,
Ann
