Hawaii Post 3

Sadly, tomorrow is our last day here in beautiful Hawaii. We've made the most out of our time here.

Yesterday was our boat tour of the Na Pali Coast. The good: the views were amazing, and we got really close to the dramatic cliffs. We also got to snorkel in the ocean – all of us except for N. We saw some amazing fish close up and it was cool to see underwater. The swim in the ocean was a refreshing break from the boat ride, which wasn't the best for a few of us. Daddy and A were fine, but N and I were definitely seasick for a fair amount of the 6 hour trip. M was iffy. Thankfully we made it through with no serious problems.

We explored a little more of the island once we got off the boat, up into the canyon area, then turned around to drive back to our hotel, which took around 90 minutes. We went for a quick swim in the hotel pool and then ate dinner nearby.

Today it rained for the first time on our trip (not counting the daily sunshowers). The rain thwarted our plans to go to Hannelei Beach, so we drove through town and then up along the coast to some other beaches. It was raining pretty steadily so we only got out of the car to buy a coconut and then some tacos from a truck (which had come recommended). A and I were supposed to go on a horse ride, but the road to the ranch was rained out. We ended up swimming here and then going for an early dinner at the super-luxurious St. Regis next door. Stunning views of the sunset. Shaved ice in Hanelei Bay and back to the hotel.

Tomorrow A and I are going to do our postponed horse ride in the morning and then meet up with M and Daddy and N and go to the beach. Our flight out isn't until tomorrow night so we have almost a full day here left.

Almost all of the good pics are on the camera, which I haven't downloaded yet, so here are just a few from my phone.
