Hebrew School Evaluations

I got the following evaluations about the girls from Hebrew and Sunday School this year. They weren't terribly enthusiastic about either, but it seems like they made a great impression on their teachers anyway.

Sunday School

A: It was great to have Alexa in class this year!  She was an eager participant in our activities and discussions, and her excitement was often infectious.  Her easy laughter and smiling demeanor set a warm tone for our classroom community.  Alexa often made and shared connections between the topics we were exploring and things she had learned in secular school, or had experienced in her own life, which was a big focus of our year.  I hope that she has a great summer, and as she moves on to sixth grade, I hope that she continues to find connections – between her life and what she learns, and also with her peers, in her Temple community.

M: It was lovely to have Maddie in class this year!  She was a kind and engaged presence throughout the year.  She seemed to enjoy spending time with close friends in the class, but on a given day she was also likely to reach out to someone she might know less well and build a connection with them (often over shared interests like dance or team sports) – she played an important role in the overall strengthening of our classroom community.  She engaged wholeheartedly in creative activities of all sorts (from writing to acting to drawing), and in so doing seemed to reflect and connect deeply to the topics we were exploring.  I hope that she has a great summer, and a great time in sixth grade, which will hopefully provide her with many more opportunities for community, art and connection!

Hebrew School

A: Alexa's big smile and great attitude made her a great student to have in our classroom community. She always completed her homework and always got along with her peers and teacher. Her Hebrew skills improved this year. Have a great summer, Alexa!

M: (who was convinced her teacher didn't like her): Madeleine's commitment to learning and her kindness to her peers made it very nice to teach her. She did her homework regularly and her Hebrew skills improved. Have a great summer, Madeleine!
