The highlight of today was that I brought the girls to my office this afternoon for no other reason than that it was fun. Here's what we did: 1) caught up with Christina; 2) used the potty; 3) did a lot of wrestling and playing in the social media area; 4) made tons and tons of pictures with crayons Kristin gave us – the girls made a few for everyone on the social media team and called Corey "the boy"; 5) ate lots of popcorn; and 6) made a bunch of color copies of Baby, Blankie, Doggie, their feet, their tushies, their hands, and their faces. It was a lot of fun. The girls like to see where I work, they like that I have a parking spot that's only for me, they think that the social media team works hard ("like we do!"); they think it's funny that Lisa and I work so close to each other, and wonder whether I call her or go down the hall to talk to her when I need to. (Usually I call.)

It's been a long, stressful, sad week at work (if you don't know why, I recommend picking up a newspaper, turning on the TV or the computer, or listening to the radio) and having the girls in the office was a nice pick-up for me, hopefully for others too.

• M said – a lot of words start with "May" – "Mayflower, May 7, and Amen (A-MEIN)"

• M asked me a bunch of questions about pirates today – how do they get from ship to ship, do pirates go to school when they are little, what do pirates do with the stuff they take?
